My story 💕

Hi there! I’m Peepers, and I have a little story to share about my life. You see, I’m an Arabian cross, and let me tell you, my journey has been quite the adventure!

Not too long ago, I was a nervous and skinny little horse, stuck in a scary place... But then, a really kind lady found me. She knew who I was from a past life and rescued me not once, but twice! And after she took care of me, she made sure I went to a place where I’d be loved and never end up in the kill pen again. So she donated me to Rise & Ride Ranch!

When I finally arrived at the ranch, I was a little shy and jumpy at first, I didn’t know who to trust.. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't back in that scary place! But those nice humans were patient with me. Their chiropractor figured out that I had an old head trauma from a hard hit to the face—ouch! My jumpiness might also explain how my back and bum muscles got so tight too. It made me even more unsure for a while, but they were all so sweet and caring. Ear circles, head massages and all the extras to help me with headaches!

As the days turned into weeks, something magical happened. With all their yummy food and gentle hands, I started to feel better! I was blooming like a flower! And then came the best part—I got to go into the training arena! Oh my hoofbeats, I was having so much fun! They thought they were teaching me, but really, I was teaching them! I learned new tricks that had them giggling—and I loved every moment of it!

When I’m not busy being a superstar in the arena, I’m living my best life in the pasture. I love hanging out with my big sister, Lakota, and my playful cow buddy, Mabel! I’m such a cuddler—I’ll rub against you like a big fuzzy cat, just begging for all the pets and scratches. It feels so good to be loved!

Every day, I’m grateful for my home and my humans. They’re working hard to help me get stronger and healthier, and I can’t wait to see what comes next on this wonderful journey. I may have started out scared and alone, but now I’m a happy horse full of love and joy, just waiting to share it with everyone I meet!
