What we do is simple...

Meet every horse where they are.. give them the care they need.. provide them with meaningful purpose... never pushing them beyond what they can safely give.

R&R Rehabilitation

"R&R Rehabilitation” is our 501(c)(3) nonprofit that focuses on providing the extra care, rehabilitation, and facility upgrades some horses need to become their best selves. From physical therapy and special diets to safe spaces and gentle training, our goal is to help each horse grow and thrive at their own pace.

🐴 What We Do

We do not take in large numbers of horses like many sanctuaries. We focus on a few at a time that need extra support and resources.

Not every horse comes to us with a clean slate. Some have been through neglect, poor handling, or have health issues that make them “unwanted” elsewhere. We take time to understand what they have been through, how they move, what hurts, and what helps.

From there, our team provides the care they need, including nutrition, therapy, vet work, farrier care, and most importantly, daily interaction and love. Staying active and involved helps them stay healthy in body and mind, giving them a sense of belonging.

💚 Why It Matters

Many of our horses are older, some have ongoing medical needs, some simply do not fit in the average riding barn and need a semi-retirement environment to stay active at their pace.

Every horse deserves to be cared for, understood, and given a chance to thrive no matter what their past looks like.

Looking to support our ranch further?

We don't ever expect anyone to donate. Just being here and supporting our horses through rides already means so much! ❤️ What we make from rides cover the basics while we save for the improvements we hope to make for our herd.

When donations do come in, we are extremely grateful! Every dollar we receive, whether it’s from a ride or a donation, helps the incredible horses that call this ranch home. 🐴

Nutritious feed, hay, and daily care
Supplements and prescription medications (i.e. lyme disease, equine protozoal myeloencephalitis, cushings, etc)
Regular specialty farrier visits and veterinary checkups
Dental work, blood panels, and x-rays
Massage, chiropractic, Magnawave, and red light therapy
New therapy equipment such as a BEMER
Properly fitted riding equipment for each horse to prevent pain or soreness
Facility upkeep, fencing, shelters, and safe, accessible spaces for both horses and people
Memorial pieces to remember those who we help cross the rainbow bridge

Caring for special-needs horses means managing a lot of ongoing details and costs. Some need medication daily, others need routine therapy to stay mobile, and all need good nutrition and safe spaces to live.

Large donations helps us ❤️

Rebuild old pastures with improved drainage, mud-free footing, and larger weather-safe shelters
Create new pastures designed for horses with medical or behavioral needs
Build a new barn with a large medical stall and an enclosed rehab arena for year-round recovery and bodywork. The barn also opens up an opportunity to add spaces that allow visitors, students, and volunteers to safely participate in learning and hands-on experiences with our herd
