My story 💕

Hiya, I’m Henry. 🙂 I’m a little guy with a big ol’ soft heart.
 

I used to live at a kids’ camp where life was sunny and simple, and I had a best buddy who made everything feel safe. Then I lost him, and I’ll be honest… I got real quiet about it. I felt so lost that even eating and drinking didn’t seem worth the trouble.
 

The camp folks knew I needed a fresh start, somewhere I could heal and find my way back to feeling okay, and that’s how I ended up at Rise and Ride Ranch. At first it was all new smells, new routines, and new faces, and I wasn’t sure I had it in me to begin again.
 

But then time did its thing. Little by little, I started letting friends in. Sharing a warm patch of sun with the herd. A quiet nose to nose hello. A soft sigh that says, “Ope… alright then. You seem safe.”
 

Before I knew it, I felt good enough to hit the trails again. The woods help me. The bird sounds, the leaves, the steady rhythm of a simple job, it all makes my heart feel lighter.
 

Riding with me is quiet, on purpose. I’m a great size for kids, and I can always tell if someone’s excited or a little nervous. Either way, no worries. We’ll just take our time. If you wiggle, or your hands feel unsure, I don’t mind one bit. I’ll keep us steady and easy, like we’ve got nowhere else to be.
 

And yep… I’m that pony with the sunglasses. 🕶️ Some days the sun bugs my eyes, so I wear ‘em to feel better, and honestly? It’s kind of my thing now.
 

Out on the trail, I listen close and I take care of my little rider. That’s my whole job, and I’m proud of it. When we get back, I’ll happily accept the pats and hugs. ♥︎
