My story 💕

Hello. My name is Daisy, and I am Peach's daughter. 🌼 I'm a Belgian draft horse too.

Peach and I came here after some hard years with the Amish. A kind friend of the ranch got us out of that situation and looked after us for a while, and when she couldn't anymore she made sure we went somewhere safe. That is not a small thing, and I have not forgotten it.

There is one more thing worth knowing. Before we came here, Peach and I were staying on the very property where the two sister's of this ranch grew up. We did not know each other yet, but we were already standing in the same places they once stood. Two sisters who grew up on that land, and two mares who rested on it before finding their way to the same home. It's special how that happened!

When we arrived I was in decent shape besides a lame foot that needed addressing, which is more than I can say for my mom. Her weight had suffered some and she had catching up to do. My feet and teeth needed sorting out, and once they did everything else just fell into place. Peach will take longer, but she is getting there.

I am not the sort to come running up to greet you. I will likely be watching from a few steps away, just getting a feel for who you are. Quiet and kind people do well with me. And when people earn my trust, they feel good.

Out on the trail I am steady and I pay attention. I like the woods, the familiar paths, the way everything gets a little quieter once you are out among the trees. I take my job seriously because the person on my back is trusting me, and that matters.

After a ride, if you rub your hand softly at my temples for just a moment, I will probably close my eyes. That is the best thank you I know how to give. ♥︎
